An Evening Reading: EGO Presents Abhijit Sarmah, Nate Dixon, Matthew Moore, Spencer Goss and LeAnne Howe Please join us for an exciting reading of poetry and prose with some of the Creative Writing Program's faculty, students, and alumni. Our readers are Abhijit Sarmah, a current Creative Writing Program PhD graduate student, Nate Dixon, an alumnus of the CWP and current Assistant Professor of American Literature at North Carolina Central University, Matthew Moore, a current CWP PhD graduate student, Spencer Goss, and English Literature MA student and LeAnne Howe, the Eidson Distinguished Professor in American Literature and faculty member of the CWP. LeAnne Howe's book Shell Shaker celebrated its 25th year in print this September, and we will be honoring this occasion with her reading from this text. Nate Dixon will be reading from his recently released book Radical Red (2025), and Abhijit Sarmah will read poems in addition to his first full-length poetry collection Political Insurgent which is currently under submission. Matthew Moore will be reading from a manuscript length poem entitled All. Spencer Goss will be reading texts heretofore unpublished. The readers will have their texts available for sale. This event is brought to you by the English Graduate Organization (EGO), Sound Studies, Pollen literary magazine and Stillpoint literary magazine. Free parking is available directly behind the Athenaeum in UGA lot W-16. Pull into the driveway off of Broad Street and take your first left into the parking lot.
