Over the summer of 1935, Sergei Prokofiev sketched an astonishing array of dances to capture the yearning, vigor, passion, violence, hope, and searing desperation of a Shakespeare tragedy. In the end, he produced one of the greatest ballets of the 20th century. Music Director Laureate Robert Spano leads the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in a suite from Prokofiev's tour de force Romeo and Juliet.
