We Inside: Pregnancy and Gut Health

It has been repeated on multiple occasions that pregnant people have two very important jobs; one of them being to do their best to consume adequate nutrition. However, just the state of being pregnant can make that a difficult task. Pregnancy hormones naturally slow digestion, sometimes making certain foods difficult to tolerate or absorb. Add a growing belly to the equation, and it becomes worth asking how does one get adequate nutrition with a pregnant digestive system? In this We Inside workshop, taking place Thursday, 11/19 from 12pm-1pm we’ll explore the fundamentals of gut health in pregnancy, ways to support it, and how to navigate digestion difficulties.
