Stargazing Party 2026!

Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge proudly presents the 6th annual Stargazing Party!! Join us for a magical evening under the stars at the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge! This special stargazing event offers an opportunity to explore the night sky in one of New Jersey’s most serene and natural settings with the South Jersey Astronomy Club. With minimal light pollution and expansive views, the Refuge provides an ideal backdrop for observing constellations, planets, and deep-sky objects. A free family friendly event including telescope viewing, arts & crafts, and guest speakers. Refreshments provided by the Friends of Forsythe. Free parking on-site and we highly reccomend carpooling. When you arrive, check in at the registration table in the Visitor Information Center, you will be given a time slot ticket and be escorted down to the telescopes at your registered time and you are welcome to stay as long as you'd like and return to the visitor center on your own. Dress for the weather as it is a rain or shine event.
