What began as a social outlet quickly became a meaningful cultural experience. Immersed in a community deeply influenced by Chinese culture, I discovered that mahjong was far more than a pastime—it was a bridge to connection, history, and belonging. After returning to the US, I learned American mahjong with my mom and soon began teaching family and friends. As the game grew in popularity, I combined my passion for mahjong with my love for teaching, formally launching my business in 2024 to grow the mahjong community in the western Chicago suburbs. I have since taught 3,500+ players in our area! As a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in teaching, I draw on my background as a teacher to make mahjong approachable and engaging. I carefully break down complex concepts into simple, step-by-step lessons that help students gain confidence and understanding. I believe anyone can learn and love this game! My mission is to bring people together through mahjong - building friendships and lifelong connections one tile at a time! 🩷🀄️ ------------------------------------------- Important Things to Note: **Due to limited capacity, all ticket sales are final. **Tickets are non-transferrable to another date and only tickets sold through this Eventbrite link will be honored.
