GRAND TOUR Double Harpsichord Concerti from Spain, Italy, Germany & France, Ensemble Gothic & Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado Members GRAND TOUR Double Harpsichord Concerti from Spain, Italy, Germany and France is presented by a new historical string group called Ensemble Gothic in collaboration with members of Denver's well loved Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado. The program traces the typical tour of an aristocratic 21 year old in the 16th-19th centuries on their educational right of passage through Europe. Leave England with us and travel to the European continent. In the past, travelers were drawn to the fine art, architecture and music of all foreign European lands, though Italy was the key destination for every tour. The musicians of both ensembles playfully paint a picture in sound of the pastoral French countryside, the flare of over-the-top Spanish tastes and the emotional poetry of German music for each listener's ear to devour.
