I'm teaching a beginner-friendly Intro to AI workshop focused on ChatGPT and Claude. This isn't a technical lecture. It's a hands-on class where we'll actually use AI together. My goal is that every person leaves knowing how to use AI for at least one useful, real-world part of their own life. What We'll Do This is a hands-on workshop, not just a presentation. We'll start with a short introduction to how modern AI assistants work and then move quickly into practical demonstrations and exercises. Together, we'll: • Try several useful prompts and see how small changes affect the results • Compare good and bad ways to ask AI for help • Practice refining an AI response through follow-up questions • Explore practical examples from work, home, learning, planning, and everyday life • Look at situations where AI works well and situations where you should be cautious • Give you time to work on something from your own life with guidance and help available You're encouraged to bring a real task, problem, question, or project you'd like help with. It could be an email you need to write, a trip you're planning, a résumé, a work project, a meal plan, something you're researching, an idea you're trying to organize, or almost anything else. The goal is for you to leave having successfully used AI for at least one real-world task that matters to you.
