Networking Night: Small Business (LoDo)

Denver networking for small business owners, founders and freelancers at Ambler in LoDo. $15 includes a welcome cocktail. Welcome to Mingle Denver’s Networking Nights, a series of focused professional events built around specific industries, business types, and professional communities. Instead of trying to meet everyone in Denver at once, each Networking Night brings together people with more in common, making it easier to find useful connections, referrals, collaborators, clients, and people you may genuinely want to stay in touch with. This week is for small business owners, founders, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and independent professionals. 🗓️ Thursday, October 22 • ⏱️ 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM • 📍 Ambler, 1801 Wewatta St, Denver, CO 80202 • 💵 $15 admission includes a complimentary welcome cocktail (add an optional $5 donation at checkout to support the community) Happy Hour will be extended through 8:00 PM exclusively for our group. Please support our venue by purchasing at least two items during the event. There is a point where traditional networking starts to feel like work. You walk into a room, repeat your elevator pitch twenty times, collect a stack of business cards, and leave without really knowing anyone. This is meant to feel different. Come meet people who understand what it is like to build something of their own. Maybe you are growing an established business. Maybe you are freelancing full time. Maybe you just signed your first client. Maybe you are still figuring out whether the idea in your head can become a real business. You are welcome here. The goal is not to make as many contacts as possible. It is to have a few genuinely useful conversations. Talk about what you are building. Share something that is working. Talk about the problem you cannot seem to solve. Ask someone how they found their first customers. Meet a photographer, accountant, designer, consultant, marketer, restaurant owner, contractor, creative, founder, or someone building something completely different from you. You never know which conversation will turn into a referral, collaboration, introduction, new customer, resource, or friendship. A Little Help Breaking the Ice: we will have optional conversation prompts throughout the evening to make it easier to skip the usual small talk. Topics may include: What is working in your business right now? What is your biggest challenge? What kind of customer are you trying to reach? What resource or connection would make your life easier? What is something you have learned that could help another business owner? What kind of collaboration would you love to find? You do not need a polished pitch. You do not need a stack of business cards. Just come ready to talk about what you are working on and be curious about what everyone else is building. About Ambler: Ambler is located inside Hotel Indigo near Union Station in LoDo, with a relaxed restaurant and cocktail bar setting that makes it easy to grab a drink, sit down, and actually have a conversation. They are also extending Happy Hour through 8:00 PM for our group, so you will have access to Happy Hour pricing throughout the entire event. Parking and Transit: Ambler is just steps from Denver Union Station, making RTD rail and bus service one of the easiest ways to get there. If you drive, there are paid garages and street parking throughout the Union Station and LoDo area. Give yourself a little extra time to park during the evening rush. If you plan to drink, please use public transit, rideshare, or arrange a safe ride home. The best outcome from this event is not leaving with twenty new LinkedIn connections. It is leaving with two or three people you actually want to talk to again.
