Proof of Concept (POC): UT’s internal award for moving a discovery toward commercial readiness. Applications open September 7 and close October 12. I-Corps: customer-discovery training to test whether a market exists before you build. SBIR/STTR: federal grants that fund early R&D at your company without taking equity. Who this is for: UT faculty, postdocs, grad students and startup teams considering commercializing their research.
