Full description from organizer

Join us for a night of learning, drinks, and discussion at the Austin Salon, a social club for curious Austinites. Our workplaces, homes, and neighborhoods are rich with information about our personalities, traits, values, and emotions. Consciously and unconsciously, we leave traces of our individuality in the spaces around us. As Winston Churchill once observed, “We shape our buildings and afterwards our buildings shape us.” In this month’s salon, psychologist and UT professor Dr. Sam Gosling will explain the hidden psychological roles our everyday spaces play, why we gravitate toward certain environments, and what happens to our well-being and productivity when our surroundings don’t fit us. The Austin Salon runs on your donations. Consider donating at checkout! Questions? Email [email protected]
