Paperheart

A daylong creative retreat with Hala Alyan and Safia Elhillo We’re thrilled to return with the fall edition of Paperheart, a daylong retreat space to play, make, and reset for writers, artists, and creatives of all kinds. It's a day of gentle creative encouragement and an opportunity to make art in creative community. Across this immersive day, we’ll explore gentle, intentional approaches to habit-building practices, guiding the season to come. Together, we’ll look forward as the leaves begin to change and the air begins to crisp, to borrow some of that crispness and those vivid colors for our own practices. As usual you can expect narrative writing prompts, poetic sparks, guided meditations, mindfulness exercises, free writing/making, and (literal and metaphorical) wandering. We’ll collage, explore creative mapping, and co-create small personal rituals for tending our creative selves throughout the remaining months of this year. All materials will be provided—just bring something to write on! The full fee for this retreat is $200. If this cost is prohibitive to you, we are offering a sliding scale rate. Please email [email protected] for information on accessing that rate. Come write with us! xx
