Written by Reverend Dr. Shirlene Holmes, Since '76 is an exploration of identity, resilience, & the strength of African American women. Since '76 is a vibrant exploration of identity, resilience, and the strength of African American women. Through compelling storytelling, music, and movement, the play invites audiences to reflect on history, culture, and contemporary issues impacting women of color. With a talented ensemble, we aim to create an immersive experience that sparks dialogue about race, gender and culture while enriching the lives of the community. The event is sponsored in part by the From Ashes to Beauty Veterans Foundation.
