Therapeutic Splatter Painting

This group uses expressive splatter painting as a non-verbal outlet for emotions often tied to recovery experiences. This expressive splatter painting group offers a creative, non-verbal outlet for individuals navigating recovery and personal growth. Through movement, color, and spontaneous mark-making, participants are invited to release emotions in a safe, judgement-free space and no artistic experience is required. The group emphasizes stress relief, sensory grounding, and the freedom to explore without expectations. By engaging in the physical act of painting, participants can reconnect with a sense of choice, control, and creativity that may feel distant during challenging times. Beyond individual expression, the group fosters a supportive environment where shared creative activity helps build connection and community. Whether you're in recovery from substance use, working through mental health challenges, or rebuilding your life in any form, this space welcomes you as you are—no words necessary. **Please note:** This is a hands-on, immersive activity—be prepared to get messy! Wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting paint on. **Who It’s For** This group is especially supportive for people who prefer non-verbal or low-verbal forms of expression. It is also designed for individuals in recovery, including those healing from substance use and those managing mental health challenges or navigating life transitions. No prior art experience is needed—just a willingness to explore and create.
