Full description from organizerShow less
Bring your favorite cookies to swap and score some new holiday treats at the sweetest NEW meetup of the season! We’re Bringing Back Homemade Holidays! The handwritten recipes, flour-dusted counters, sweet tradition of making something special to share—we’re bringing that homemade holiday spirit back. Join Sugar Spruce Baking Co. at Mom's Kitchen Catering Co. for the First Annual Holiday Cookie Exchange, a festive gathering of Central Oregon cookie lovers! This is your chance to show off your best baking skills, share a treasured family recipe or signature creation, and discover a few new favorites along the way. You don’t need to be a professional baker, just bring something made with care that you’re proud to share. We’ll sample, sip, and mingle before filling our boxes with two dozen assorted homemade treats. Come for the cookies, stay for the connection, and leave with a little holiday joy. How It Works Bring Three Dozen, Take Home Two! Each guest must bring three dozen (36) homemade cookies or treats of the same variety. One dozen will be reserved for tasting, and the remaining two dozen will go into the exchange. Please package your tasting dozen separately from your two dozen exchange treats to make setup easy. Cookies, brownies, fudge, and dessert bars are welcome! Bars and fudge should be cut into individual portions before arriving. Each piece counts as one treat. Tell Us What You’re Baking When purchasing your ticket, submit the name of your cookie or treat and a brief description. We’ll use your wording to create a label for your tray so guests can read about your recipe before choosing. Please include any common allergens. A friendly note: This is a community event featuring homemade treats prepared in different kitchens, so ingredients and allergen-free preparation cannot be guaranteed. Guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions are responsible for deciding which treats are safe for them to enjoy. Sugar Spruce Baking Co. and Mom’s Kitchen are not responsible for allergic reactions or dietary-related concerns. Example: Grandma’s Ginger Molasses Cookies — Soft, spiced molasses cookies rolled in sparkling sugar. Contains wheat, eggs, and milk. Please choose your recipe before registering. Your submission will be used as written, and recipe changes will not be available after purchase. Sample Before You Choose! We’ll begin with time to mingle and sample treats from the tasting table so you can discover a few favorites before filling your box. Your tasting dozen may be divided into smaller sample portions to give more guests a chance to try it. Sips and Bites! Mom’s Kitchen will have a full bar and a small food menu available for purchase throughout the evening. Sip on a cocktail—including a special creation just for the occasion—or choose from Italian sodas, infused Red Bull drinks, canned sodas, coffee, and tea. There’s something for everyone to enjoy alongside the sweets! Let the Exchange Begin! After tasting, we’ll guide everyone through the exchange. You’ll select treats from different trays until your box holds two dozen (24) assorted treats. Take-home boxes are included—just bring your baked treats and your holiday spirit! What Your Ticket Includes • Admission for one participating guest • Participation in the exchange: bring 36 homemade treats and choose 24 to take home • Samples from the designated tasting table • Additional sweets and snacks provided by Sugar Spruce Baking Co. • Take-home cookie boxes • A festive evening with fellow local cookie lovers We'll also vote and have a sweet gift for the one who's recipe is voted best of the 2026 Exchange! A Few Sweet Ground Rules • Every guest needs their own ticket and three dozen homemade treats. Attending with a friend? You must each bring your own 36 treats. • Homemade only, please. Store-bought treats do not qualify. • No treats, no entry—no exceptions. Tickets are for participating guests only. • Bring one variety per participant, matching the name and description submitted with your ticket. • Package your tasting dozen separately from your two dozen exchange treats. • Bring everything fully cooled, with any icing set, in disposable trays or containers. • Choose treats that travel well and can safely sit at room temperature. Please avoid desserts that require refrigeration. • Arrive between 4:30 and 4:45pm so we can have every tray ready before the festivities begin. You may stay and order any beverages or bites you'd like prior to the event start time. • Enjoy samples from the tasting table only. Exchange trays will remain reserved until the hosted exchange begins. • All ticket sales are final. No refunds. Eventbrite may tell you they are refundable but they are not. • Bake with care for everyone at the table. Please prepare your treats in a thoroughly cleaned kitchen, using clean tools, sanitized work surfaces, and freshly washed hands. Keep pets away from preparation areas, use fresh ingredients, and package your treats carefully to keep them protected during transport. If you’re feeling unwell, please don’t prepare food for others. A little extra care helps make this a thoughtful, delicious experience for everyone! We can't wait to see you!
