Three Iranian musicians perform Iranian classical and folk music, primarily instrumental with some vocals. A Musical Portrait of Iran A Journey Through Iranian Classical and Folk Music A Musical Portrait of Iran brings together three Iranian musicians , all three are active performers and researchers whose work focuses on the musical traditions of Iran. Featuring oud, tombak, and santour, the concert presents a primarily instrumental program with a limited number of vocal pieces, focusing on Iranian classical (dastgāhi) and folk music. Through their work as both musicians and scholars, the three performers invite audiences to experience the richness and diversity of Iran’s musical traditions.
