REMOTE CONTROL w/ Jeff Lieberman in Attendance!

Popcorn Frights Wicked Weekend presents a special one-night-only screening of the cult classic REMOTE CONTROL with director Jeff Lieberman! MEET CULT DIRECTOR JEFF LIEBERMAN AT THE SPECIAL PRESENTATION OF THE 80’S SCI-FI-HORROR CLASSIC “REMOTE CONTROL!” 7PM - Signings and Photo Ops with Jeff Lieberman 8PM - Screening + Q&A Why did they pick home videos to destroy mankind? Cult director Jeff Lieberman (BLUE SUNSHINE) unleashes a deliriously ’80s sci-fi fever dream that collides 1950s B-movie hokum with video-store paranoia, alien invasion, and disco-fueled carnage! When video-store clerk Cosmo (Kevin Dillon, THE BLOB) discovers that a cheesy black-and-white science-fiction tape is doing far more than gathering dust on the rental shelf, he uncovers a horrifying secret: the movie is brainwashing anyone who watches it into becoming a murderous killing machine! As the deadly tape spreads through the neighborhood, Cosmo races to uncover who—or what—is behind the scheme. His investigation leads to a movie studio with a truly out-of-this-world secret: it’s being secretly operated by extraterrestrials hell-bent on using home video to hypnotize humanity and take over the planet! Part alien invasion satire, part video-store nightmare, and part gleefully trashy ’80s spectacle, this outrageous cult gem packs in killer videotapes, extraterrestrial masterminds, aerobics, futuristic lamé, exploding bodies, and enough disco carnage to send the whole galaxy into a frenzy. Pop the tape in. Lose your mind. Save the world!
