You'll learn the basics of making your own naturally leavened bread at home from mixing, rising, shaping, long-fermentation, scoring, and storing your finished loaf. Kala will guide you through the process step-by-step, sharing techniques and tips, and troubleshooting common sourdough bread-baking challenges. Attendees will leave with an active sourdough starter ready to use, a detailed recipe, and the confidence to bake your own sourdough bread at home. All ages welcome! Refunds available 1 day prior to event, booking fees are non-refundable. About the Instructor Kala Riddle has been fermenting foods of all kinds since 2014. She has a degree in Nutrition and is an advocate for local food systems. She has owned a sourdough micro-bakery, and has experience in hosting cooking and gardening classes for kids and adults. In her classes, she brings a depth of scientific and functional knowledge of fermentation and its wonders.
