Zine Making Workshop with Robin Danzak & Patricia Dognazzi

$40 early bird discount through November 1, then $50 Zines—small, handmade books that combine words and images—have long been used by artists, activists, and independent voices as a way to share ideas and connect. In this workshop, you’ll use paper and mixed media to create two original zines to take home. You’ll be encouraged to explore your creativity through simple prompts like: What inspires you? What do you want your art to express? No experience is necessary—just come as you are. All materials will be provided. Robin Danzak, PhD. has always been passionate about making and sharing art, most recently focusing on pottery, printmaking and zines that integrate her own mixed-media images and text. Robin is a professor at Emerson College where she teaches courses in language, literacy, and arts in health. She has taught Spanish and English to adults and in the K-12 system. Outside of teaching and artmaking, Robin enjoys moving through nature on foot, bike, or snowshoes! Her work extends beyond the page—she’s often creating spaces where artists and performers can come together to make, learn, and share moments of joy and laughter. By day, she develops programs at Harvard Medical School, with just over 2,000 days standing between her and full creative freedom.
