Everett Rogers Everett Rogers is a Utah-based, Americana/folk singer-songwriter. Raised in a blue-collar suburb of Salt Lake City, he spent his early years working in the mountains of Utah. Bought his first guitar at a Wyoming pawn shop, he has been writing songs for over 30 years and recently returned to music after a 20-year hiatus to focus on his family. Beyond his music, Rogers is an avid fly-fisher, woodworker, print artist, and welder. He often records in his home, crafting what he describes as "late-night living room songs". She has a subtle sense of humor and an unexpected playfulness, intermixed with lines that capture longing in a real way, leaving behind a heartache grounded in ease and levity. With potent imagery and a conversational style at the intersection of First Aid Kit and the Weepies, she uses raw vocals and understated fingerpicking to lay a simple foundation for these bittersweet stories, bringing her listeners together to participate joyfully in the sorrows of the world. https://mickibalder.com
