Each show features two outstanding artists or bands—often pairing nationally touring acts with some of the best local talent from Colorado's Front Range and beyond. With impeccable sound, a welcoming community, and unforgettable performances, Spotlight creates a space where artists and audiences connect through the power of live music. Remi Goode Things I've Said Before, the debut album from Remi Goode, is an introduction to an indie-folk artist who straddles the borders between different worlds. A nylon-string guitarist with classical training and contemporary influences, she creates her own version of modern-day American roots music: one that's intimate one minute and cinematic the next, making room for folky bedroom recordings, full-band studio performances, and all points in between. For Remi (pronounced “RAY-mee"), everything began in Tucson, Arizona, where she grew up listening to artists like Suzanne Vega, Kathleen Edwards, and Sarah Harmer. Those songwriters used folk music as a springboard for a wider sound, and Remi was soon following in their footsteps, combining her academic training — from classical guitar lessons to her vocal performances as a member of the acclaimed Tucson Girls Chorus — with an interest in charting new musical ground. She found a like-minded musician in fellow guitar student Gabe Lehrer, kickstarting a longtime partnership in music, romance, and life. Years later, when Remi began recording Things I've Said Before in studios and bedrooms stretching from Arizona to her adopted hometown of Nashville, Gabe was beside her the entire time, pulling triple-duty as her bandmate, engineer, and mixer. https://www.remigoodemusic.com/ Eva Rose King Eva Rose King is a Colorado folk artist using rich vocals and acoustic tones to dig deep into memory and vulnerability. Her songs pay homage to the subtle and the beautiful, using visual storytelling and classical harmonies to create a world that listeners can get lost in. Eva recently released her sophomore album, After Tale (February 2025), which explores feelings of loneliness. Drawing on experiences during COVID and from a decade away from home, these songs represent words said too late. This album evokes the styles of Gillian Welch, Leonard Cohen, and Norah Jones. After Tale was produced by Courtney Hartman and recorded during a cold, rainy week in Eau Claire, Wisconsin at Hive Studio. The tracks were largely recorded live and this fresh energy is clear throughout the album. Eva released her debut album On the Other Side in 2021, which touches on themes of dreams and perception, resilience, and pining. Eva also released Complex Feelings (EP) in 2023, which consists of playful folk-jazz-pop songs. Notably, Eva found her way to music through the decade she spent playing the viola in symphony orchestras, a background which still influences her music today. Eva has warmed the stage for Willie Watson, Old Crow Medicine Show, Sunny War, and Ben Sollee and was a finalist in the 2024 Telluride Bluegrass Festival's Troubadour Competition. Eva holds a second career as an environmental scientist, where she studies and teaches biodiversity, climate change and environmental justice.
