Sure on this Shining Night

Sing the Darkness to Light - The Longmont Chorale's 2026-2027 Concert Season In both nature and the Christmas story, the stars take a guiding role at this time of year. This program explores music drawn from the night sky—its stillness, its brilliance, and its ability to inspire wonder here on earth. Featuring luminous works from Nordic composers such as Kim André Arnesen and Ola Gjeilo, the music transports us northward, where winter skies shimmer with stars and the colors of the Aurora Borealis dance across the darkness. From the quiet beauty of moonlit nights to the radiant star that led travelers to Bethlehem, this program invites us to pause, look upward, and rediscover the awe of the season. Whether you're a longtime lover of choral and band music, or simply looking for an afternoon of exeptional live music, this concert offers a rich and memorable musical experience.
