Follow activists who take back agency for housing by "squatting" in abandoned buildings while forming mutual aid groups dedicated to making those structures liveable and accessible. ALL THE QUEENS HOUSES (10 min) Directed by Sean Mowry A "photographic exploration" of the unique architectural stylings of housing in Queens. This whimsical and curious film follows an architect, who photographs the houses in Queens and ends up revealing both the beauty and personality of the borough that is strongly connected to its diverse population. PETAL PUSHER (15 min) Directed by David Abel This heartfelt portrait of a family-owned floral shop in the depths of Penn Station - a floral shop that was a touchstone for countless Long Island Rail Road commuters since the '70s - must finally close ahead of the major renovations of the station. This film is a tender look back and tribute to the patriarch of the family who started the business decades ago.
