Class Acts, A Night of Comedy & Music in support of PS11

Class Acts: A Night of Comedy and Music in Support of PS11 will take place Wednesday, October 128, 2026 at BRIC House. Presented by The Proud Fathers of PS11, the night will bring together comedy, music, and community in support of one of Brooklyn’s most beloved public schools. The event marks the first large-scale fundraiser organized by the volunteer parent group and will feature appearances and performances by PS11 parents, teachers, and a lineup of acclaimed comedians and performers including David Cross, Amber Tamblyn, Ryan Reynolds, Kal Penn, Matthew Broderick, Sarah Jones, Sean Patton, Kurt Braunohler, Chris Gethard, and Shane Torres.  What began as a casual conversation among a few dads in the PS11 schoolyard transformed into this ambitious community-wide effort fueled by parent volunteerism and grassroots organizing. With support from PS11 parents David Cross and Amber Tamblyn, the evening reflects the collaborative spirit that has made PS11 such a sought-after public school for Brooklyn families. “We grew up in public schools, raised by public school teachers—so we understand deeply how transformative a quality public school experience can mean for a child. PS11 is a powerful example of that.
