Karachi Community Radio Presents YOUNG STUNNERS w/ Jokhay

Karachi Community Radio Presents YOUNG STUNNERS & Jokhay, in collaboration with RM Live for their debut New York show. Young Stunners are among the defining voices of contemporary South Asian hip-hop. Formed in Karachi in 2012 by Talha Anjum and Talhah Yunus, the duo has helped transform Urdu rap from an underground movement into a powerful force in Pakistan’s mainstream music culture and across the South Asian diaspora. Moving effortlessly between Urdu and English, they blend intricate lyricism, sharp social observation and contemporary production to create music that feels both deeply local and universally relatable. Early releases like Burger-e-Karachi brought an irreverent, distinctly Pakistani perspective to rap, while later songs such as Gumaan, Afsanay, Laga Reh and Why showcased their range, from hard-hitting verses to emotionally vulnerable songwriting. Working closely with producer Jokhay, the duo has built a recognizable sound defined by atmospheric production and lyric-driven storytelling. Their reach extends well beyond independent hip-hop, with high-profile moments including the Pakistan Super League anthem Groove Mera and Coke Studio Season 14’s Phir Milenge, alongside Faisal Kapadia. More than a musical act, Young Stunners represent a generational shift in how South Asian artists create and share their work, proving that language is no barrier to global connection and that artists can reach audiences worldwide without leaving their cultural identities behind.
