LESBIAN CHAOS PRESENTS: A salon reading of MEDUSA: The Play. Written by Annie Conolly. Additional story provided by James Stryska. Malea Kimberly as MEDUSA. Annie Conolly as PERSEUS. Jane Greene as ATHENA. Kelechi Udenkwo as POSEIDON. Carson York as GWENDOLYN. Marisol Medina, Sohani Sawant & Gianna Hoffman as ENSEMBLE. Dara Weinstein reading Stage Directions. It’s Monday, August 19th 1957 on the campus of Black Mountain College. Downtown Asheville, North Carolina buzzes nearby as the swampish valleys loom below. To the students and townspeople, the ancient Greek Gods are regarded as mega-celebrities. With the total likeness of a human being, they walk among humanity affected in their own godly way, but they are not the only Ancient Creatures to walk this Earth... Tickets are free. Buzz #4B to enter. This is a developmental reading which aims to springboard a new draft of this work into various theatre festivals in 2027.
