CONCERT: An Evening of Turkish Classical Music with Boston Meshk Ensemble

Join Boston Meshk Ensemble for an intimate evening of Turkish Classical Music, with songs, instrumental works, and improvisations. Boston Meshk Ensemble was founded in Boston in 2022 by musicians brought together by a shared love of Classical Turkish Music. Inspired by the tradition of meşk—learning and making music together through listening and shared practice—the ensemble brings vocalists and instrumentalists together to explore the rich world of makam music. The ensemble’s mission is to share this beautiful tradition in a way that feels alive, welcoming, and accessible. This concert will feature a mix of songs, instrumental pieces, and improvisations. Whether you already know this music or are discovering it for the first time, we hope you’ll join us for a warm and memorable evening.
