Custom handmade clay Gratitude Bowls! Slab-building 11/7 from 11am-1pm

Create your own unique and custom gratitude bowls out of clay in this 1-time workshop! Beginner-friendly; all are welcome! :) Tonight, we will be making customized and unique ceramic gratitude bowls! The idea is to decorate the piece with reminders of what you're grateful for, words of affirmation, and reminders of how far you've come. Participants may also dedicate the bowls to someone they love or are grateful for. In this clay workshop, you'll learn all the beginner essentials for slab building, a hand-building technique. You'll be guided through each step with demos, instructions, and personalized tips in an encouraging space! The goals for the night are to explore a new art form, have fun, and make something with your hands! Ceramics is one of the most meditative mediums as it connects us with ourselves, the earth, and all elements. Go ahead and enjoy a night out full of good vibes, goofiness, and mud! :) Your pieces will be ready for pickup approximately 4 weeks after the event (or can be shipped to you for an added fee). Pottery/ceramics need to be fired in a kiln twice (once for bisque and the second for glaze), which takes multiple days. Once glazed and fired, the pieces will be non-toxic and safe to use for drinking and eating; they can be put in the dishwasher and microwave, but NOT in or on the stove. Both firings are included in the workshop fee, and you get to pick how you want your piece to be glazed (colored) in the end! Our typical age range for classes and workshops is 18+, though anyone over the age of 10 years old is welcome to attend (any person under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times).
