Physician Lunch & Learn series with Dr. Jason Lew

Lew will share his educational and career journey, including why he chose to pursue a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, what distinguishes osteopathic medicine, and the unique role PM&R physicians play in helping patients recover from injury, illness, and disability. It’s a great opportunity to learn about the collaborative, team-based nature of rehabilitation medicine and explore the many careers that contribute to this field, including clinical practice, neuroscience, research, therapy, and assistive technology. Dr. Lew also coordinates the Spaulding Premedical Shadowing Program, which has provided more than 25 MIT students the opportunity to shadow rehabilitation physicians and specialists. Students interested in learning more about the program, its goals, and what participants can expect are strongly encouraged to attend. This CAPD event is open to MIT undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, and alumni.
