Full description from organizerShow less
Join Jessie Liu, president of xTool, a global leader in desktop laser fabrication, to discover how desktop laser engraving and printing has grown to complement 3D printing. In five years, xTool has expanded from one laser source to four—blue diode, infrared, CO₂, and ultraviolet—each unlocking different materials like wood, metal, glass, and leather. Combined with UV printing, creators can now cut, mark, and print on a single workbench. Learn about these advances, meet MIT researchers and artists using these tools, and see examples of their work. A reception will follow. This program is presented in collaboration with the Fab Foundation. This program is free with Museum admission. Walk-ins are welcome, advance registration is recommended to reserve your spot.
