St. Lucia's Day Craft Workshop

Celebrate this Scandinavian holiday with a sweet craft made from recycled egg cartons! St. Lucia's Day is a special holiday widely celebrated in Scandinavian countries in December. The most recognizable celebration is the St. Lucia procession, in which children parade wearing either dresses and wreaths (traditionally candles!) or white outfits while singing songs. We'll be celebrating by making an adorable craft! Kids of all ages will love these charming mini St. Lucia processions made with egg cartons. With simple materials, there is so much room for creativity: your procession can be as long as you want and include all types of characters! Take it home and decorate a mantle, dresser, the top of a door frame, or anywhere that could use a little festive cheer. All supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your empty egg cartons! We will have instructions available and staff to help out if you have questions or need inspiration. You are welcome to purchase treats & coffee from the Kaffestugan and bring them into the Nordic Hall to snack or sip while you work.
