About this event
Ceramics Open Studio allows registered participants to work independently in the MassMu studio using provided or personal clay. Visitors observe potters creating pieces in an educational space that hosts weekly sessions on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Ceramics Open Studio takes place Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. When you register, select your preferred day, and stay for as short or as long as you would like during the 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. time frame! The cost for Open Studio is $55 per nonmember per month, or $45 per member per month. Attendees may bring their own clay or purchase a 25-pound bag of clay from MassMu for $25. Any outside clay must be approved by the Ceramics Studio Manager. All Open Studio registrants must have taken a pottery class previously, whether at MassMu or another institution, and must complete a screening survey to show they are comfortable working independently because Open Studio is not led by an instructor. The MassMu LL kilns fire at 04/06 for bisque firing and 6 for glaze firing. Please note the Massillon Museum Ceramics Studio is an educational space operated by a nonprofit organization and therefore cannot accommodate production potters. Interested in attending?
