Self-Defense vs. Weapons with The Open Space Martial Arts!

What do you do if the Bad Guy has a weapon? Do you just give up because they have an advantage? I think that's nonsense and hope you do too! Discover how to set yourself up for success when dealing with an armed attacker. Having someone come put a gun, knife, or blunt object in your face is scary. Weapons are force multipliers and give the Bad Guy an advantage. But I don't believe you should just roll over because the Bad Guy has an advantage! I think there are things WORTH fighting for... your life, and those of your loved ones!... and having the tools in the toolbox to stack the deck back in your favor and OVERCOME that advantage is AMAZING for bringing confidence and peace of mind! In this fantastic seminar, you'll learn how to: * Spot trouble before it starts *De-escalate and deflect *Respond effectively to attacks with a gun, knife, or blunt object. *Set yourself up for success after the fact. Ages 16+, under-18 MUST have a parent/guardian present. Wear clean, comfortable, clothes that don't restrict movement, and bring a water bottle! Since this is a self-defense class VERSUS weapons, please leave your own self-defense tools at home or locked in your car. Non-functioning training weapons will be provided. Content warning: There is no way to address self-defense, especially vs. weapons, without acknowledging that some human beings try to do monstrous things to other people. Topics addressed in class will include, but may not be limited to, violence, death, weapons use, bloodshed, harm to self and others, DV, and SA. We will neither dwell on nor glory in the awful aspects of humanity, but we need to be able to discuss the fact that they are out there.
