Drop-off and PaintShare™ Giveaway - Farmingdale State College

Recycle your leftover paint on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 8 a.m. – Noon. Paint must be in sealed, original container with original manufacturer label. View a full list of accepted products at paintcare.org/products. PaintShare™ – Leftover paint in good condition will be made available to the public for free. Households may drop off any amount of latex or oil-based paint. Businesses may drop off any amount of latex paint, but limits may apply to oil-based paint. PROGRAM PRODUCTS • House paint and primers (latex or oil-based) • Stains • Deck and concrete sealers • Clear finishes (e.g., varnishes, shellac) NON-PROGRAM PRODUCTS • No leaking, unlabeled or empty containers • No aerosol coatings • No drums or containers larger than 5 gallons • We cannot accept other hazardous waste or chemicals, such as paint thinner, solvents, motor oil, spackle, glue, adhesive, roofing tar, pesticides, cleaning chemicals Paint companies created PaintCare to provide convenient places to recycle leftover paint, such as paint retail stores and paint drop-off events.
