Interwoven: The Art of Creating Together | Opening Reception

Celebrate art, friendship, and creative connection with artists Sydell Glasser and Christine Donnelly at Kasher Gallery & Studios. What can grow from a friendship rooted in art? Join us at Kasher Gallery & Studios for the opening of Interwoven: The Art of Creating Together, an exhibition by Long Island artists Sydell Glasser and Christine Donnelly. Beginning with the artwork that first brought them together, Interwoven follows a friendship that has grown through shared ideas, experimentation, and encouragement. The exhibition brings their individual and collaborative works into conversation, revealing how two distinct artistic voices influence and inspire one another. Through cyanotypes, monotypes, mixed media, and textiles, Glasser and Donnelly explore a shared love of nature and the possibilities of creating together. Landscapes inspired by Long Island and greater New York State meet botanical imagery drawn from local land and marine environments. In their collaborative pieces, each artist contributes her own techniques and ideas, trusting the other to help shape what comes next. Their connection also extends beyond the studio. Community-based artmaking is part of the story of Interwoven, reflecting the relationships formed through workshops and shared creative experiences. Come spend an evening with the artwork, connect with fellow art lovers, and discover the friendship behind the exhibition. Whether you make art yourself or simply enjoy experiencing it, we look forward to welcoming you.
