Mahjong in the Studio: Guided & Open Play

Connect with other American Mahjong players and sharpen your skills at the table. Session is for players who have taken at least one lesson. Join us for a relaxed and casual morning of American Mahjong. Bring friends or come solo and meet fellow Mahjong enthusiasts for an morning focused on connection, gameplay, and confidence at the table. This session is designed for players who have already taken a lesson and are looking for extra support making real-time game decisions in a relaxed, social setting. You’ll mostly play on your own, but help is always nearby. Colleen from Mariposa Mahjong will provide everything you need to play and will be circulating throughout the evening to answer questions and offer guidance whenever you need it. Think of it as open play with a safety net — low pressure, supportive, and fun. Come for the tiles, stay for the camaraderie, and leave feeling more confident in your game. Bring your 2026 NMJL card if you own one. Order your NMJL card HERE or HERE (must buy 4 at a time on Amazon official store - do not purchase a knock off card for cheaper as it may not be accurate) or purchase a 2026 card at the event for $15. Let us know if you are unable to attend so we can make appropriate arrangements since gameplay is dependent on 4 players per table. Tickets are non-refundable but you may transfer your ticket to another player. **Photography may occur during the event for marketing purposes.
