Talent Lounge: Intro to Electroforming

Learn how an industrial manufacturing process can be used to create art! Turn an ordinary spoon into something completely unique! Students will learn about the electroforming process and begin designing a one-of-a-kind spoon that will eventually be plated with copper. They’ll explore clay sculpting and use conductive paint to prepare their creations for the electroforming process. For safety reasons, students will not handle copper sulfate or other hazardous chemicals—those parts of the process will be handled by trained staff. Students will focus on the creative and hands-on stages of the project, experimenting with sculpture, texture, and design as they prepare their spoons for their copper transformation. Our Hybrid 1-3pm Talent Lounge is a premium upcharge experience offered through the Talent School. TSN members who already have this as part of their plan do not need to purchase tickets.
