A Live Experience of Music, Inspiration & Improvisation A Word From Tyris Growing up in the church, I watched my father set the atmosphere every Sunday with a single, powerful title to his message. I'm carrying that tradition forward. I'm calling this night "Play It Anyway." Some of you know this past year took me off the stage for a while. The first time I sat back down at the piano, I got about four chords in before I had to stop. I wasn't good at it anymore. I played anyway. That's what this night is about — the second wind, the comeback, and the rhythm of improvising your way through a storm you didn't choose. Jazz to funk, and a room full of people who understand. Nobody starts out good at anything, so play it anyway.
