Autumn Equinox Floating Sound Bath: Harvest & Abundance

As we move deeper into the harvest season, we gather to honor abundance, both what the earth has grown and what has ripened within our own lives. This evening’s Floating Sound Bath will center around the practice of receiving. abundance, gratitude, and sacred exchange. We’ll begin together with an optional energetic clearing for anyone who would like to receive it, followed by a short guided meditation in circle. The meditation will invite you to move out of the intellect and into the heart, connecting with the flame already living there. From there, we’ll settle into the sound bath. You may choose to float on the water or receive from a mattress on land. You may float fully clothed and will only get your feet wet. You’ll be given a blanket and a silk, crystal-infused eye pillow to help you soften into the experience. Once you are settled, your only work is to receive. Susan will work with 528 Hz crystal singing bowls and crystal harp, planetary gong, drum, chimes, voice, and other instruments as sound moves through and around the body. For this gathering, Susan has also been intuitively sensing what she describes as an abundance wave. Rather than trying to call something in, strive for more, or decide what abundance should look like, you’ll be invited simply to become available to it. The meditation establishes the connection. The heart opens the way. The sound carries the abundance. The water holds the receiving. Harvest reminds us that abundance is more than accumulation. It is relationship. We receive from the earth, from one another, from Spirit, and from the lives we are already living. We also give something back. This season asks us to notice what has grown. What has nourished us. What is ready to be gathered. What we want to preserve and carry with us as the days grow shorter. After the sound bath, we’ll slowly return to the circle for grounding and connection. Susan will offer a choice of tea or cacao as we come back together and allow the experience to settle. Come exactly as you are. No previous experience with sound healing, ceremony, meditation, or energy work is needed. If you choose to float, you are welcome to remain fully clothed. Only your feet will get wet as you step onto your mattress. Please bring an object for our altar Bring one small object that represents abundance to you. It might be something gathered from nature, a meaningful stone, a seed, a piece of jewelry, a photograph, a shell, dried herbs or flowers, or another object that carries a feeling of nourishment, gratitude, beauty, growth, or enoughness for you. We’ll place these objects together as part of our shared altar, honoring the harvest and the many forms abundance can take. Come rest. Come listen. Come become available to what is already here.
