About this event
Learn to carve stone using traditional hand tools with a fun group of people. Tools and materials provided. Come to the experimental carving circle at Scotts Landing! We'll gather around a fire (if it's cool enough) and spend an evening carving. Think of it as a knitting circle for carvers. Instruction available or just play with the stone on your own. Bethany (the stone carver who is facilitating) will provide the benches, tools, and stone. If you wish to start your own project and purchase stone to take home, it will be available. If this goes well, it will become a regular thing! The location is at a historic farm that is semi-prviate, so location will be provided just to those who sign up. The location is within a 20 minute walk (5 minute drive) from downtown Scottsville, VA.
