She has been a foreman on construction crews, built scientifically accurate fake plants, installed countless bathrooms, worked as a milliner at a big city opera, renovated a city block in Detroit, and built a small house on the Tennessee River hand-carrying the wood up 80 steps. She has figured out how to build a gorgeous, rich life with her family, often wearing a tool belt and knee pads and wants to pass these skills on. Sarah consults as “The Building Doula,” is a caregiver for family, does smaller construction projects for clients, and has a thriving sculpture practice.
