Audience Intelligence as AI Infrastructure for News. The NPA Summit is SOLD OUT! A huge thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and will be joining us in Chicago! We’re so excited to see you there. If you were still hoping to grab a ticket, you can join the waitlist here. We’ll contact people on the list directly if a spot opens up. About the NPA Summit The NPA Summit is the News Product Alliance’s global convening for the news leaders defining what news becomes next. It’s where the decision-makers who set priorities and ship work across product, audience, technology, revenue, and editorial come together to align on what’s changing, share what’s working, and turn strategy into execution. At this year’s Summit, we’ll move from experimentation to preparedness as we collaborate on solutions to build the audience intelligence and AI infrastructure that modern news organizations need to operate with clarity, resilience, and control. AI is transforming how news is produced, discovered, and monetized, creating a reactive cycle where newsrooms must constantly respond to new tools, shifting platforms, and unstable audience attention. By exploring first-party audience data, insight workflows, and responsible AI systems as core infrastructure, we’ll break that cycle and empower news leaders to make smarter decisions, strengthen trust, and create sustainable models that don’t depend on any single platform or moment of attention. At this year’s Summit, we’ll collaborate on solutions connected to this year’s program theme, “From Reaction to Readiness: Audience Intelligence as AI Infrastructure for News” as we explore our core topics: • Audience Intelligence & First-Party Data Systems • AI-Native News Operations • Sustainable, Audience-Led Business Models • The Future of Distribution & Non-dependability • Product Leadership in Uncertain Times Summit Schedule • Wednesday, October 21 – Registration begins at 3:00 PM CT • Thursday, October 22 – Full-day programming, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM CT • Friday, October 23 – Programming, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM CT The detailed agenda, including session times and rooms, is available at https://schedule.newsproduct.org/. Details about ticket prices In order to make our event as accessible as possible, we have a range of ticket prices and community-supported tickets. These prices help us balance the actual costs of our event while keeping prices as manageable for attendees as possible. Here are the tiers for tickets to the News Product Alliance Summit (plus ticketing fees): • $575: Full organizational support — this reflects the actual per-person cost of the Summit (large news orgs 250+ employees, nonprofits with budgets over $2M) • $475: Partial organizational support (smaller news orgs, nonprofits under $2M budget) • $375: Self-funded or no employer support • $0: Community-supported (a limited number of tickets are available at no cost to professionals who would not otherwise be able to attend ). Here's the most important thing to know about these ticket prices: We want you to choose the one that makes sure you can be at the Summit. We don't review who pays what, and we won't follow up with any questions. If you work for an organization where budgets have already been set or there's no support available to you, choose a lower price and join us. By the same token, if you budgeted for some costs you no longer have to spend and are able to purchase a ticket at a higher tier, please do. In addition, if you would like to contribute to the Summit, you'll have the option to add a donation as part of the ticket-purchasing process. We based these tiers on community feedback. Ticket funds are a huge part of what makes it possible to organize an event with costless tickets, and the support of a skilled event team in preparing sessions and constructing a schedule that lets attendees focus on learning and talking together. Refunds: Cancellations made 30+ days before the event are eligible for a full refund. No refunds will be issued within 30 days of the event. However, tickets may be transferred to another attendee at any time — please contact [email protected] to arrange this. Please note that Eventbrite booking fees are non-refundable. If you have any questions at all about ticket pricing, please reach out. Currently, tickets are sold out, and we have a waitlist here if seats open up.
