SFP National GVP Expo: Opening Gala

We begin the National GVP Expo weekend with an Opening Gala & Award Ceremony recognizing the work of pioneers in violence prevention. The Opening Gala Evening's awardees include Jens Ludwig and Roseanna Ander accepting on behalf of University of Chicago Crime Lab, Michael Strautmanis accepting on behalf of My Brother's Keeper (MBK) Alliance of The Obama Foundation, Ricardo Estrada accepting on behalf of Metropolitan Family Services' MPI and Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P) programs, Dr. Franklin Cosey-Gay & Dr. Selwyn Rogers for their work in University of Chicago Medicine's Urban Health Initiative’s Violence Recovery Program and Trauma Center, and Arne Duncan on behalf of Chicago CRED. The Gala will also feature Val Warner, Chicago Emmy Award-Winning Host Interviewing Lisa Cortés and Joshua Seftel, the Creators of 2026 Academy Award® Winner for Best Documentary Short Film: All the Empty Rooms.
