Beginner's Sewing Course OTR/Downtown

Welcome to the Beginner's Sewing Course at Moreau Sewing Unlimited! Designed for both novices and those looking to refresh their skills, this course offers an introduction to sewing, from hand-stitching techniques to the basics of machine operation, clothing construction and alterations. In 6 to 10 classes (on average), you will also learn essential troubleshooting of sewing machine issues. You will receive homework after every class to bring in for evaluation in your next class. Everyone learns at a different pace and style. We are committed to making sure you get everything you need to complete your Final Project: Construct 2 tote bags with outside pockets, 1 includes a lining. If you do not have a sewing machine at home, you may rent one from us for $40 for the duration of the course. If you have one that needs to be serviced, our basic examination and servicing fee is $35. If extensive repairs or parts are needed, the fee will be based accordingly. IMPORTANT NOTICE! (Currently classes are being held at our OTR location only [1351 Main St.] Stay tuned for new classes at our Northside location at 1622 Chase Ave.) Regular classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 6 - 7:30 PM. You are not obligated to attend every class consecutively. You are allowed to reserve the days that you can commit by registering by phone at 513 817-7643. Your FIRST TIME BEGINNER'S CLASS is a specially designed class to give you a foundation for the rest of the course. This class must be scheduled at a time during the week according to the student's and instructor's availability. Please call (513) 817-7643 to arrange the day and time. Please make your payment of $148 on site when you come for your first class by card, tap, check or cash. This fee is valid for a 3-month period. Any classes scheduled beyond the 3-month period requires an additional payment to be determined at that time.
