Can You Take the Heat 2026

This one day interactive event is designed to introduce the non-traditional career of firefighting to females ages 12 and older. Can You Take the Heat aims to introduce young women, ages 12 and older, to a career in the fire service. 36 participants will learn about a career in the fire service from female firefighters in a safe, low pressure environment. This is a highly interactive program with lots of hands on activities. Please note that participants MUST attend ONE of the gear fitting dates below PRIOR to the event or If you have access to fire gear, we encourage you to utilize that for the day of the event. Participants will need to bring registration paperwork/waivers and the registration cost of $25, to the gear fitting. At this time will not be able to accommodate any additional gear fitting dates. A shirt, drinks, snacks, and lunch are included. Additional communications with required paperwork will be sent via email from [email protected], please be on the lookout and check your junk mail. The event is held at Scarlet Oaks -3254 E. Kemper Rd, Sharonville, OH 45241. Please note, the gear fitting will be held at Blue Ash Station 13-10647 Kenwood Rd, Blue Ash, OH 45242.
