Full description from organizer

Lead the AI charge with confidence. Build your organization's strategy, governance framework, and a practical HR AI tool during this series. AI is one of the most powerful tools to reach the workplace in years, but its impact cuts both ways, and HR's responsible for making sure it lands on the right side of that line. Whether you've already begun rolling out AI across your organization or are just getting started, this three-part series will give you a proven approach to leading the charge. Led by ERC’s partner, SkillSpout, this program takes you from strategy to governance to hands-on building. You'll leave with a clear read on where your organization stands on its AI journey, a plan to set direction with your leadership team, the frameworks to govern AI responsibly, and one working tool you built yourself. Session 1: Lead the Strategy – Thursday, November 5 • Where AI is right now, and where your organization sits on the five-stage adoption curve • The two ways AI rollouts fail: tools without strategy, and training without role redesign • How to convene and facilitate the vision and direction conversation with your leadership team • Making the budget case, and why this doesn't belong in a professional development line item Session 2: Policy, Governance, and the Human Side of Change — Thursday, November 12 • What belongs in an AI use policy and what doesn't, plus who needs to be in the room • Guardrails that hold up: data, disclosure, acceptable use, review cadence • Why AI change management has no "after," and how to lead something that keeps moving • Handling resistance — skepticism, ethical objections, and fear of job loss — with language supervisors can use • Rescoping roles as the work shifts, and protecting what stays uniquely human Session 3: Hands-on Practice — Thursday, November 19 • Real HR workflows people are automating right now, and what good looks like • Where agentic AI is heading, and what that means for HR over the next twelve months • Guided, hands-on build time, with a second facilitator in the room so nobody gets stuck • The one working tool you'll build and take with you, start to finish About the Facilitator: JP Graulty JP Graulty is Head of Implementation at SkillSpout, where he facilitates human-first AI adoption and transformation for small and medium-sized organizations. JP is the author of Two Journeys, One Team, a framework distinguishing skills development from change navigation that is now embedded across SkillSpout's organizational adoption methodology. He facilitates AI Transformation Teams from frontline staff through presidents and CEOs at civic, nonprofit, and for-profit clients across Northeast Ohio, and leads SkillSpout's team of Implementation Specialists. JP brings extensive experience supporting non-profit and mission-driven organizations across Northeast Ohio in implementing strengths-based approaches to organizational and community change. His impact was recognized by Case Western Reserve University, which honored him with its Young Alumni Award in 2019. Previously, JP served as Program Manager for the Community Innovation Network at Case Western Reserve University, where he led a 16-project portfolio spanning asset-based community development, appreciative inquiry, civic engagement, and community-engaged research. Earlier in his career, JP developed strategic community partnerships at John Carroll University for curricular service-learning and co-founded the university's first Staff of Color Employee Resource Group. He also served as a healthcare navigator with Catholic Charities Migration and Refugee Services through an AmeriCorps-affiliated year of service program. JP is co-author of Toward authentic university–community engagement (2021) in the Journal of Community Practice. Are you an ERC member? Members get 10% off with code ERCMEMBER10.
