COURSE DESCRIPTION: Explore our AR-15 course specifically designed for civilian use. This AR-15 Fundamentals curriculum includes both classroom and live-fire training, with a focus on learning how to use an AR-15 for home and self-defense. Learn to verify your zero, accessorize, maintain, and operate your firearm, identifying the importance of round trajectory and mechanical offset for close encounters. Classroom topics include: • Safety • History and popularity • About the AR-15 • Loading, unloading, and clearing • Maintenance and cleaning • Accessorizing the AR-15 • Support gear • AR-15 shooting basics. • Zeroing • Around the house and personal defense Range drills • Verify and confirm zero. • Kinesthetic alignment • Reloads • Multiple targets • Out of the optic • Mechanical offset This course is taught by certified AR-15 firearms instructors who are also certified in Marksmanship Coaching, Home Defense, and Defenseive Shooting. PREREQUISITES: None. Consider taking Intro to AR-15. WHAT'S INCLUDED: • Instruction by Nationally AR-15 Certified Firearms Instructor • Range Fees • It is recommended that you use your own firearm*, You will need to provide 300 rounds of ammunition for the firearm, this must be purchased before class begins. SUPPLY LIST: Students are required to bring the following supplies: • Functional AR-15 • Sling for your AR-15 • 2-3 magazines • Safety glasses* (available to borrow) • Hearing Protection* (available to borrow)* • 300 Rounds of ammunition for your firearm* - this must be purchased before class begins. Rifle ammo is available to purchase in classroom, please arrive 10 mins early to the classroom to make your purchase * Supplies listed may be available for purchase or rent.
