THE HIP ABDUCTION - COCOA

THE HIP ABDUCTION "INTO THE WILD TOUR" w/ SENSAMOTION & COYOTE ISLAND live in COCOA Deuterman Productions Presents: THE HIP ABDUCTION "INTO THE WILD TOUR" Support: Sensamotion Coyote Island THE HIP ABDUCTION Sometimes inspiration strikes from the immersion of living in a far away place. The view of the ocean. The sound of a rainforest at sunrise. The smell of an open-air market. The embrace of the wild human experience. However, maybe the nostalgia for a certain place might be attributed instead to a feeling, or a time, or even a person. Sometimes, inspiration stems from a place that everyone can relate to, but maybe no one’s actually been. This is the music of The Hip Abduction, the vibrant St. Petersburg, FL-based collective that formed over a mutual appreciation for West African and early Jamaican reggae/dub music. Sensamotion Hailing from Atlantic City, New Jersey, SensaMotion ushers in a new-age reggae sound with their calming vocals and heavy drum and bass. From playing with some of reggae’s most legendary acts, to bringing an electric live performance to a national stage, SensaMotion continues to leave one feeling alive and uplifted. With their latest full length release “Life In True Color” Sensamotion has reconstructed their sound and continues to push the envelope for American Reggae. Coyote Island Equilibrium depends on music. Body, mind, and soul move in a perfect harmony together. Synapses fire and hearts thump in time like a drumbeat. In this respect, the right tune sung at the right moment works like the best kind of natural medicine. Maine-based singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Coyote Island—a.k.a. Mike O’Hehir—recognizes and reveres the restorative potential of songcraft. Mixing folk, reggae, pop, world, cumbia, and psychedelia, he stirs up a sonic elixir meant to invigorate and inspire.
