Autumn Equinox Sound Bath

An immersive evening of sound, deep rest, and intentional seasonal reset! There are certain times of year that naturally invite us to notice what has changed. The Autumn Equinox marks one of those moments — a transition between seasons, when the pace of summer begins to soften and we start moving toward a quieter time of year. This sound bath is an opportunity to give yourself some space within that transition. Maybe the past few months have felt full. Maybe something in your life is changing. Or maybe you simply haven't had much time to stop and check in with yourself. For this experience, you'll settle comfortably onto a floor cushion while you're immersed in layers of sound from crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other instruments from around the world. There is nothing you need to accomplish, figure out, or even know how to do. As the sounds move through the room, you may notice your thoughts beginning to quiet, tension softening from your body, or feelings and reflections that haven't had much room to surface. Some people leave feeling lighter or clearer, while others simply experience a kind of deep rest they haven't given themselves in a while. The equinox gives us a natural opportunity to reflect on what we want to carry with us into this next season, and what we may be ready to leave behind. You don't need to arrive with an answer. Just come as you are, get comfortable, and allow yourself some uninterrupted time to rest, listen, and be present. This experience may be especially supportive if you've been feeling mentally or emotionally full, pulled in too many directions, in the middle of a transition or change, or simply ready to slow down. No meditation or sound bath experience is necessary. All you have to do is lie back and receive. WHAT TO BRING: To help us care for our premium floor cushions, we ask that you please bring one sheet to cover your mat and one blanket to stay warm during the sound bath. You’re also welcome to bring a pillow for extra comfort. This helps us maintain a clean, cozy space for everyone. No yoga mat needed! Come dressed comfortably, bring water, and eat beforehand. A sound bath is a meditative experience where people are "bathed" in sound waves produced by various overtone-emitting instruments, including singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and more. During a sound bath, people lie down and listen to resonant sounds, allowing their brain waves to slow and shift from a more active state to a more relaxed or dreamlike state. The goal of the experience is to invite deep rest and relaxation, explore self-inquiry and self-discovery, and help people let go of stress, anxiety, or other worries. A sound bath is typically a way of managing anxiety, soothing the nervous system, and blocking all the ideas and thoughts out of your consciousness as you connect with your body. Our sound baths may include the following instruments: over 70 Crystal Singing Bowls & Tibetan Singing Bowls (including 5 sets of Chakra Tuned Singing Bowls), Crystal Quartzophone Harp, Zaphir Chimes, Bar Chimes, Flutes, Rain Stick, Buffalo Drum, Ocean Drum, Steel Tongue Drum, Handpans, Kalimba, Tingshas and other traditional instruments from around the world.
