Begin with a relaxing yoga session and then transition into a mindful painting experience. - Kat will teach a 1 hour yoga session. -JP will guide us on a 90 minute art journey. Come and enjoy a relaxing and creative experience in a unique & all levels welcome environment! Bio: Jamar Pierre, a New Orleans native, defies categorization with his unique artistic style. His work encompasses various genres and concepts with wild texture, abstraction, surrealism, and boldness. With over twenty years of professional experience, Pierre has exhibited his exquisite masterpieces worldwide, including in Iceland, Canada, and Costa Rica. Notably, he was chosen by the NOLA Foundation to create the official Tricentennial Celebration artwork, earning him a place in the Library of Congress. Pierre's contributions to fine art have been recognized by the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Institute and National Public Radio. His vibrant and lively art resonates with both viewers and subjects, evoking joy and emotional responses. Beyond his artistic endeavors, Pierre is passionate about cultural advocacy and has been involved in events such as the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
