Encaustic Workshop with Shannon Mello - November 2026

Encaustic painting is a process of painting using beeswax and tree resin, and melting it into layers. In this four hour session, students will learn and expand on encaustic basics. Students will experiment with encaustic paint, embed materials, shellac burn, and create layers to include oil paint and gold leafing. Students will walk away with a practice piece, a 6”x6” panel, and an 8”x8” cradled panel ready to hang. Prior experience with encaustic basics is not required. Come ready to get messy and creative. Looking forward to sharing my passion with you! All supplies are included. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy in, bring your own drink of choice and Shannon will supply some light snacks. Sunday, November 15th from 1-5pm $170
